Welded steel pipe types
Welded steel pipe: Also called welded pipe, it is cut from steel strips into narrow steel bars and then cold-processed into a tube shape using a mold. A special welder then welds a pipe seam. The outer welds are polished and bright. The internal burrs of ordinary welded pipes cannot be punched. Only precision welded pipes are internally burred.
Anti-corrosion points: Welded steel pipes refer to steel pipes with seams on the surface that are made by bending and deforming steel strips or steel plates into circular, square and other shapes and then welding them. According to different welding methods, it can be divided into arc welded pipe, high frequency or low frequency resistance welded pipe, gas welded pipe, furnace welded pipe, Bondi pipe, etc. According to the shape of the weld, it can be divided into straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe. Electrically welded steel pipes are used in oil drilling, machinery, and manufacturing industries. Furnace welded pipes can be used as water and gas pipes, etc. Large-diameter straight seam welded pipes are used for high-pressure oil and gas transportation, etc. Spiral welded pipes are used for oil and gas transportation, pipe piles, bridge piers, etc. Welded steel pipes have lower costs and higher production efficiency than seamless steel pipes.
Straight seam pipes are made of steel plates or steel strips that are bent and then welded. According to the welding seam form, it is divided into straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe. According to the purpose, they are divided into general welded pipes, galvanized welded pipes, oxygen blown welded pipes, wire casings, metric welded pipes, roller pipes, deep well pump pipes, automotive pipes, transformer pipes, electric welded thin-walled pipes, electric welded special-shaped pipes and spiral welded pipes.
Generally, welded pipes are used to transport low-pressure fluids. Made of Q195A, Q215A, Q235A steel. It can also be made of other mild steels that are easily weldable. Steel pipes are subject to hydraulic pressure, bending, flattening and other experiments, and have certain requirements for surface quality. The delivery length is usually 4-10m, and delivery of fixed length (or multiple lengths) is often required. The specifications of welded pipes are expressed in nominal diameter (millimeters or inches). The nominal diameter is different from the actual. According to the specified wall thickness, there are two kinds of welded pipes: ordinary steel pipes and thickened steel pipes. 6-17 is the size of welded steel pipe.
There is no need for a welding machine and wire-coating high-frequency resistance straight seam welded pipes, and there is no need to make jumper ground wires or paint, which eliminates the need for complex construction processes such as traditional fusion welding and wire-coating. Just connect the straight pipe joint to the pipe, and the threaded pipe joint to the theoretical weight of the round steel pipe and the junction box. After positioning, use a special tool to tighten (break) the screw, and use a lock nut to tighten the high-frequency resistance seam weld of the junction box. Just set it. Use a pipe bender to bend the pipe to the corresponding arc on site.
