When transporting steel pipes, careful inspection is essential, especially for anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes which must be checked multiple times before entering or leaving the warehouse. Then how should these pipes be inspected during warehouse entry and exit? What should be considered during their transportation, loading, and unloading? Here’s a comprehensive guide.
Inspection of Anti-Corrosion Spiral Steel Pipes
1. Entry and Exit Inspection
- Surface Inspection:
Conduct a thorough root-by-root inspection.
Ensure the polyethylene layer's surface is smooth, free from dark bubbles, pitting, wrinkles, and cracks.
Verify that the overall color is uniform.
Check for any excessive corrosion on the pipe's surface.
- Dimensional Check:
The bending degree of the steel pipe should be less than 0.2% of its length.
The pipe's ellipticity should be less than or equal to 0.2% of its outer diameter.
Ensure local surface unevenness on the entire pipe is less than 2mm.
By adhering to these guidelines, the quality and integrity of anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes can be maintained, ensuring their effectiveness and longevity in their respective applications.
