Processing methods and characteristics of spiral welded pipes

Spiral welded pipe is a steel pipe manufactured using spiral forming technology. It has the advantages of high dimensional accuracy, good surface quality, and high production efficiency. It is widely used in transportation pipelines in the fields of oil, natural gas, chemical industry, hydraulics, etc.

1. Preparation stage

In the preparation stage, it is necessary to check whether the raw materials meet the requirements, such as whether the tube blank is straight and whether there are cracks, etc. At the same time, you need to prepare the tools and equipment required for processing, such as plate rolling machines, straightening machines, cutting machines, etc.
2. Rolling stage

The coiling stage of spiral welded pipe is one of the most critical links in the entire processing process. Place the tube blank on the plate rolling machine, and adjust the roller spacing and pressure of the plate rolling machine to gradually roll the tube blank into a spiral shape. During the plate rolling process, attention should be paid to the flatness of the tube blank

Automatic welding can improve production efficiency, but it requires the use of high-precision welding equipment; manual welding requires experienced welders to operate. During the welding process, attention needs to be paid to ensuring the quality and strength of the weld.
4. Straightening stage

The straightening stage is a key link to ensure the straightness and roundness of spiral welded pipes. By using a straightening machine to straighten the welded steel pipe, the shape and size of the steel pipe meet the standard requirements. During the straightening process, attention needs to be paid to controlling the pressure and speed of the straightening machine to avoid over- or under-straightening.

5. Cutting stage

The cutting stage is to cut the welded spiral welded pipe into finished products of a certain length as required. When cutting, you need to pay attention to ensure the flatness and verticality of the cutting section to avoid problems such as bevels or burrs.
