The 5052 aluminum plate is an alloy primarily composed of magnesium and chromium, offering excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine environments. It features good workability, medium static strength, high fatigue strength, and superior weldability. Additionally, its low density and excellent thermal conductivity make it a preferred material for aircraft fuel tanks, storm shutters, refrigerator liners, and panels.
The 5052-H32 specification covers thicknesses ranging from 0.040" to 0.500", while for thicknesses between 3/4" and 1-1/2", the specification is 5052-H112.
