How to load the anticorrosive spiral steel pipe?

Date:2024-07-29

Proper loading and packaging of anticorrosive spiral steel pipes are crucial to ensure their integrity during transportation and storage. Follow these guidelines to ensure safe and effective handling.

Packing Thin-Walled Pipes:

Cold-Drawn or Cold-Rolled Pipes: For pipes with a wall thickness of no more than 1.5 mm, pack them in strong wooden or iron boxes.

Welded Steel Pipes: For pipes with a wall thickness of no more than 1 mm, and surface-polished rolled stainless steel pipes, also use sturdy wooden or iron boxes for packing.

Box Composition:

Each box should contain steel pipes from the same contract number.

If multiple batches are packed in one box, separate each batch by bundling them individually before packing them into the box.

Box Weight Limits:

For steel pipes with a diameter of 20 mm or more, and special-shaped pipes with a section circumference of 65 mm or more, the maximum weight per box should not exceed 2 tons.

For steel pipes with a diameter less than 20 mm, and special-shaped pipes with a section circumference less than 65 mm, the maximum weight per box should not exceed 1.5 tons.

Note: The weight limit can be increased if agreed upon by both parties.

Moisture Protection:

Line the inner walls of the box with linoleum paper, plastic cloth, or other moisture-proof materials.

Ensure the box is tightly sealed to prevent water ingress.

Secure the box with steel belts, double wire steel wire, or other binding methods.

Unboxed Packing (with Purchaser's Consent):

For cold-drawn or cold-rolled pipes with a wall thickness of not more than 1.5 mm, and welded steel pipes with a wall thickness of not more than 1 mm, they may be shipped without packing if the purchaser consents and it is specified in the contract.

The maximum weight of each bundle should not exceed 2 tons.

Bundling Thick-Walled Pipes:

For cold-drawn or cold-rolled stainless steel pipes with a wall thickness greater than 1.5 mm, packing in boxes is not necessary.

After bundling, wrap them tightly with at least two layers of sack cloth or plastic cloth and secure with steel wire.

Each bundle should weigh no more than 2 tons.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that anticorrosive spiral steel pipes are loaded and transported safely, maintaining their quality and preventing damage.
