Spiral steel pipes are widely used in our daily lives and play a crucial role across various industries, including drainage, water supply, and the transportation of gases such as petroleum gas, liquefied gas, and coal gas. As structural materials in construction, spiral steel pipes offer excellent stability. But how can we further enhance their stability?

One key factor lies in proper storage. Given the wide range of spiral steel pipe types, their storage methods must be carefully considered, as storage conditions directly affect performance. Small and medium-sized spiral steel pipes are best stored in well-ventilated sheds. Wooden pads should be placed underneath and above the pipes to prevent moisture and rust. For higher-value spiral steel pipes that are more prone to corrosion, indoor storage in warehouses is recommended to provide better protection and maintain their structural integrity.
However, not just any warehouse will do. Ideal storage facilities should be clean, dry, well-ventilated, and equipped with effective drainage systems. They should be located away from harmful gases and corrosive dust. The floor should be free of weeds and debris to help keep the steel clean.
Inside the warehouse, pipes should be sorted and stacked by category to avoid disorder. Corrosive materials should never be stored alongside spiral steel pipes. Regular inspections are necessary to ensure the warehouse remains dry, especially after rainfall, and that storage conditions consistently meet safety standards.
As for large-diameter spiral steel pipes, due to their size, they often cannot be stored indoors and are instead kept in open-air storage. In such cases, they should be placed on elevated ground with proper covering and support to minimize environmental impact.
By understanding and implementing these protective storage measures, we can significantly enhance the long-term stability and reliability of spiral steel pipes, ensuring they perform effectively in their various applications.
