Product Specification Levels (PSL)

API 5L recognizes two basic Product Specification Levels (PSL):

Grades and Yield Strength

API 5L covers various grades, including A25, A, B, and several "X" grades (X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70, X80). The two-digit number following the "X" indicates the minimum yield strength (in 000's psi) of the pipe produced to that grade.
