Welded steel pipes require anti-corrosion treatment during use. Choosing appropriate anti-corrosion methods can greatly extend the service life of steel pipes. Here are some anti-corrosion treatment methods for welded steel pipes.

 

Spray Painting Method:

Spray painting is a widely used anti-corrosion technique for welded steel pipes. A paint spray machine applies special anti-corrosion paint to the pipe surface, protecting it from corrosion. This method is convenient, economical, and effective. However, its drawback is susceptibility to climate and external environmental factors, resulting in a less durable anti-corrosion effect.

 

Hot-Dip Galvanizing Method:

Hot-dip galvanizing involves coating the steel pipe with zinc to create a galvanized layer, preventing rust. This method offers excellent anti-corrosion protection and a long service life, but it is more expensive.

 

Zinc Spraying Method:

The zinc spray method is a newer anti-corrosion technique. A sandblasting machine sprays zinc materials onto the steel pipe surface, forming a zinc-iron alloy layer and a pure zinc layer to effectively prevent rust. While this method is cost-effective and provides good anti-corrosion protection, it requires additional treatments to extend the pipe's service life.

 

Welding Seam Treatment:

Welds are critical points for corrosion in steel pipes. Special anti-corrosion treatments are necessary for the welds during the welding process. Methods such as brushing, spraying, and coating are used to protect the welds, thereby extending the steel pipes' service life.

By employing these anti-corrosion methods, welded steel pipes can achieve enhanced durability and performance in various applications.
